Why can industry executives read my work here if theydon’t accept unsolicited scripts?
Traditional companies refuse unsolicited submissions via email or mail to avoid legal liability. Pitch Simple solves this by turning the dynamic around: verified industry professionals and film investors affirmatively choose to log into our secure marketplace to search for content. By signing our platform terms, they legally agree to clear evaluation rules, completely neutralizing the liability barrier.
Can I cancel my membership at any time, and whathappens to my scripts?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time through your dashboard settings. Once cancelled, your membership benefits remain active until the end of your prepaid billing cycle. After that, your profile and pitches are completely hidden from executive search results. We retain your inactive data securely so you can log back in and unfreeze your portfolio instantly if you choose to return later.
Does Pitch Simple take a commission onmy script sales or option deals?
No. We take 0% commission on any downstream deals you make. We are strictly a matchmaking platform designed to connect creators directly with industry executives. You remain in complete control of your work, your rights, and your negotiations.
What formats and genres can I upload to the marketplace?
Our marketplace accommodates a wide variety of storytelling types. You can submit pitches for Feature Films, TV Series, Docu-Series, Short Films, and Animation across any genre—from hard science fiction and thrillers to character-driven dramas and comedies.
Do I need to be a Pitch Simple memberto submit a 2-minute pitch for the Pitch Festival?
No. You do not need to be an active marketplace subscriber to submit your 2-minute video pitch for consideration. However, non-members are required to pay a standalone Entry Consideration Fee at checkout to submit their material to our panel.
Is festival pitch consideration freefor Pitch Simple platform members?
Yes. Active, paid platform members can upload their 2-minute festival video pitch for evaluation for free as part of their tier subscription benefits.
Does submitting my 2-minute pitch or being aplatform member guarantee me a live pitching spot?
No. Because live pitching places in Melbourne and Sydney are extremely limited, there is no guarantee that your pitch will be selected, regardless of your membership status. Our creative panel evaluates all video submissions purely on concept strength, craft, and marketability to select the final live presenters.
If my 2-minute pitch is selected forthe Pitch Festival, do I get into the event for free?
No. Attendance is not free for anyone. If your pitch is selected by our panel, you are still required to purchase a ticket to the in-person event in Melbourne or Sydney to claim your live pitching slot and enter the festival grounds. Membership covers the cost of your video submission review, not physical event entry.
Do I have to be a platform member toenter Pitch SimpleWriters Competitions?
No. Our creative contests (such as theAlternativeEndings Competition) are open to all writers globally. Non-members canenter by paying a flat entry fee per script. Active, paidPitchSimple Membersreceive 100% free entryinto all platform competitions.
Can non-members apply forthe Pitch Simple Writers Grant Programs?
No. You MUST be an active, paid member of Pitch Simple to apply for our grant programs. This is completely non-negotiable. Our grant funding, development capital, and industry mentorship resources are exclusively reserved to support and protect the creators within our subscriber community.
